Lindsey + Fede are Engaged! Brooklyn Botanical Garden

Lindsey + Fede are too amazing! I had the pleasure of meeting with Lindsey last year and I knew immediately, we were a perfect match for each other, (Fede I would come to realize you were equally amazing at a later date, haha).

We met up at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and then headed over to the meatpacking district where Fede + Lindsey first locked eyes. Fede described the whole meeting, step by step, as we wandered around the neighborhood. SO CUTE to watch them re-live the first time they met and how much they love each other as they described it to me! <3

I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous couple on three occasions in one year! Lindsey + Fede will have a ceremony in New Jersey for her family this summer and there will be another ceremony in Italy the following weekend! Needless to say, I’ll be eating everything while I’m away, and quite honestly, I just might not come back!

Francesca + Chris are married! Loew’s Philadelphia

What an amazing day this was! Francesca + Chris’ wedding was my first for the season, and let me just say, this will be hard to top. The day started off with Francesca and the girls getting ready at the Loew’s.(I can’t even tell you how much I LOVE Badgley Mischka shoes). Francesca’s bouquet was this amazing piece her mother and her florist, Chris Hilke of All Staging Matters, created together. It is comprised of about a million unique brooch’s Francesca’s mother collected over the past year! So gorgeous! All the girls bouquet’s were dried lavendar and each had their own unique brooch detail; the Loew’s smelled AMAZING all day. Francesca looked simply breathtaking in her wedding gown, and with all the natural light available, I couldn’t stop myself haha.

Chris, of course, you were equally as stunning with your custom made purple gingham suit! ;) Every girl’s crazy ’bout a sharp dressed man! The “first look” is one of my favorite moments of any wedding day and Chris and Francesca’s was too cute. I must actively stop myself from crying during first looks :’) I am convinced, I just could NOT take a bad photo of these two!

The ceremony was simple and sweet and filled with the love of friends and family. All perfectly timed to a gorgeous sunset. And although it was February, we were determined to get them on the roof to do some photos with the PSFS sign. Perfect light! And although, Francesca was hoping for some romantic magical snowiness, (we DID in fact see snow that day), I think it was cold enough for them both just the same. (I swear I did my snow dance for you Francesca, and I’m SO glad we at least had 5 minutes of visible snow!)

The rest of the evening was filled with great friends, family, food, drinks, laughter and LOTS of great dance moves. Thanks to the Janis Nowlan Band and Chris, thank you for officially, teaching me how to dougie ;) And finally, thank you to everyone who was apart of this amazing wedding day. Francesca & Chris, I love you to pieces, have a long, happy and healthy life together!

Trish & Chris are married! The Landmark, New Jersey

I have known Trish for a few years now as she is the sister in law of my good friend Eva, whom I went to grad school with. Eva married Trish’s brother Joey a few years ago and I was lucky enough to be a guest at their wedding, for once not working, haha. So when Trish and her amazing husband Chris decided to get married, they called me up and I was so excited to be apart of their day as well! Their families are all so very sweet and I always feel right at home every time I see them.

Trish and Chris met in college where Chris studied music, which was a big part of their wedding day! The day started off with Trish and the girls, gettin’ their hair did and drinking some bubbly at the salon, just a regular Saturday, you know. Then the wedding madness begins! We headed off to St. Mary’s in Dumont, NJ for the ceremony. Chris’ dad, William, sang a song for the couple at the beginning of the ceremony. As a surprise, Trish and Chris also sang a meditation song during the ceremony, which let me tell you, left not ONE dry eye in the entire church, including myself. :’)

After the ceremony, Trish and Chris hopped in their Rolls and we headed over to Zabriskie Park to photograph the bridal party in all their fabulous glory! The whole time I was photographing Trish and Chris, it was just so obvious how happy they make each other…makin’ all these cute faces…I loved every second! The rest of the evening was spent at The Landmark which was full of some really awesome dance moves; (Chris I have no idea what’s going on with your dad, please see below photos, hah!) The whole day was filled with friends, family and of course, a whole lot of love!

Patricia & Jeremy are Married! The Green Building, Brooklyn, NY

Where do I even begin?? I met Patricia & Jeremy about a year ago in New York and they were so cute together it was ridiculous! I was smitten with them from the beginning and we met up again shortly after for their engagement session. Originally, Patricia had told me about this amazing vintage Dior gown she purchased, (a size 2 no less!), however, there was a mishap with the cleaners and Patricia was miraculously able to find an AMAZING Vera Wang wedding gown within 2 weeks of the wedding!

The day started off beautifully, despite the 100 degree weather, at Gild Hall Hotel. Love this location! The ceremony took place at St. Agnes in Brooklyn, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I can’t even express how stunning Patricia was in her gown, and of course Jeremy, you were very handsome indeed sir ;). Their friends and family came from all over the world to witness their vows.

Once they were officially wed, we headed over to Brooklyn Bridge Park with the whole bridal party. This group was so much fun, LOVED them! From there we headed back to The Green Building for some delicious foodies and lots of partying! Cafe Wha? rocked out at the reception! Patricia & Jeremy also surprised everyone with Polish singers, and let me tell you, both bands were high energy, I was exhausted, hah! The entire day was filled with so much love, family and friends, it is truly an honor to have been apart of their wedding day and I hope we stay lifelong friends….and they let me photograph their babies ;)

So, here’s to Jeremy & Patricia…

Good health, good cheer, may you live one hundred years, one hundred years…Sto Lat!

Keith & Angela are Engaged! Nockamixon State Park

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Keith and Angela in Nockamixon State Park for their engagement shoot! This place also happens to be where Keith proposed to Angela last fall. He had planned to take a drive with Angela one evening to the park and propose at sunset. Running late with dinner plans and the kids, it got dark quickly so Keith proposed to Angela in the park in front of his headlights ;).

So we headed on into the woods, found some great locations (mostly by accident, I love it when that happens), and had an amazing shoot! I give all the credit to Keith in finding this bridge we saw over the lake. If it weren’t for his determination to walk 5 miles in the woods, Angela and I would have given up long before! Totally worth the trek!

These two are sooooo sweet and fun to be around, I’m so glad I was able to be apart of their engagement and this September, their wedding! Keith & Angela, you rock!

Family Shoot with the Szokes!

A few months ago I had the pleasure of being asked by my good friend Matt to take some photos of him and his wife and son, Ellen & Ethan! We got lucky with the weather one Fall afternoon and had a great afternoon at the playground. Ethan, approaching two years old as we speak, appeared more interested in the wonderful and exciting elements he found on the ground! I was able to get some cute photos of the whole family and I hope that we’re able to do it again in the future – (They are currently expecting their second son in a month as well!)

So congratulations to the Szoke family on their expanding family, and to a dear friend who has both encouraged me and been a source of inspiration and friendship from day 1! I look forward to many years celebrating their friendship and their family!

Patricia & Jeremy NYC Engagement Session!

Patricia & Jeremy are two of the sweetest people I have ever met and had the pleasure of working with! We first met a few months ago at Three Tarts in Chelsea, (a super cute Chelsea bakery), to talk about their wedding. From the very beginning I just knew these two would be so fun to work with!

They shared with me how they met: Jeremy worked with Patricia’s mom in Colorado and invited him to an ugly Christmas sweater party Patricia was throwing (LOVE it). Jeremy showed up in a pink Snuggie, explaining he couldn’t find an ugly sweater! (Enough said, they’re my perfect clients!) They hit it off instantly and soon made plans to move to NYC where they are both currently students at NYU! Jeremy proposed to Patricia with his grandmother’s ring and the rest is history!

We made plans for their engagement session to be around Greenwich Village and Central Park. I had such a great time working with them and I can’t wait to be apart of their wedding celebration next summer at The Green Building! We also had their engagement announcement published on Brooklyn Based! I am truly blessed to share this day with them. Here’s a few photos from the engagement session, Enjoy!

Yes, I’ve been incredibly slow about getting this moving but I’m totally excited to have the blog up and running, ready to share some weddings, engagements, and photo love all around.
