A New Year, A New Beginning

At the end of another wedding season, and beginning a New Year, it’s tempting to create a highlight post on the blog of all the awesome and amazing couples I’ve worked with throughout their engagements, on their wedding days and sometimes I get to photograph their belly bumps and first babies coming into the world ;) I can’t thank you all enough for making my life that much fuller having met you and been apart of some truly unforgettable moments this year!

2015 was also a HUGE year for me personally and I think this time, I’ll take this opportunity to remember, celebrate and appreciate all of the amazing memories I’ve made myself! I met my husband Adam a little over 2 years ago thanks to the amazing world of eHarmony and he’s been such a bright light in my life ever since. We were engaged in December last year and celebrated our own wedding in June of this year! It was everything I could have ever asked for. Surrounded by our closest friends and family by the lakeside in New Hampshire, we promised our lives to each other. One of the best days of my life, trying not to cry as I think about it :)

One of the other best days in my life is the day that Adam and I found out we were going to be parents! The baby bump shows in some of our wedding photos by the amazing Lauren + Tim Fair, and it makes me love our wedding day even more if that’s possible! Adam is the best partner in life for me and I am so thankful for him every day I wake up. He will be the best father to our puffin (and future puffins ;) His love amazes me. I am so proud to be his wife and to be a mama to his children.

It’s been an incredible experience watching our little girl grow from a wee blip on a screen to an actual little person. She kicks me constantly and does things in my belly I never thought possible. Pregnancy has been both extremely fulfilling in many ways and super weird haha. And thank you to Elizabeth Star for capturing some belly pics on our babymoon! I feel like I was born to be a mother and I am so ridiculously blessed that I found the perfect partner to take this journey with!

As I finish up my 2015 wedding season, I want to take this moment to again thank every couple I’ve met and photographed this year and to all the couples I’ll be working with in 2016. I’m excited to see where this year takes us all and I hope the best for each of you; that you are filled with as much joy and love as Adam and I have been this year! Moving into the final weeks of pregnancy, I may be a little slow moving into 2016 so please bare with us as we figure out this parenting thing and stay tuned for a baby update very soon!
