My mother was not a beauty queen, a gourmet cook, a CEO, or a fabulous decorator. And, of course, neither am I, (though lord knows I try!)

However, my mother taught me to appreciate the truly important things in life. A kind gesture, a thank you, a good loyal friend.  Her energy was always focused on making everyone around her’s day better in some small way. My mother never met a stranger, she can talk to anyone, and I like to think I received some of this gift from her.

She taught me that life isn’t about counting hours, but about counting moments.

So here’s to my mom, the most beautiful, amazing cook, non-decorating mom who works like a BOSS! You are loved so very much, Happy Mother’s Day!
