Anyone who knows me, knows that two of my most favorite things in the world are bourbon and cheese. There will always be a special place in my heart for vintage lace and peonies, mason jars and all things southern. (All of these will most likely be at my own wedding when that day comes). But there is also a very big part of me that isn’t a girly girl. I want something a little different. More me. No teacups, no embarassing games, no rules for how a bridal shower should be or look. Just some good drinks, good food, good friends and lots of laughter!
So when my good friends Tanti and Patty from Papertini approached me about wanting to do a styled shoot that was nothing like what we typically find on wedding blogs now, I exploded glitter on the inside. The whiskey tasting bridal shower theme was so fitting of us, I can’t believe we didn’t think to do this sooner!
Our team for the day was nothing less than stellar. From the custom jack and ginger themed invitation to the amazing table scape and bridal shower gifts, this shoot had everything I could ever ask for. The whiskey tasting bridal shower shoot also appear on Style Me Pretty on the 4th of July, which was just icing on the cake.
So when you start planning a bridal shower and also your wedding, think about what’s really important to you as a couple. How do you want to celebrate this time in your life? Pick what works for you, what speaks to who you are. Make it meaningful to YOU and remember that the best part of this in the end is that you get to marry your best friend <3
Thank you again to the amazing team that worked with me on this shoot!!
