Ashley + Mike are married! Long Beach Island

Sometimes people come into your life and you think, “How have I NOT met them until now?!” Ashley and Mike came to me last year when they started planning their beach wedding at The Stateroom in LBI. Ashley was pregnant at the time with her beautiful baby girl Jennie so we turned their engagement session into a newborn shoot with Miss Jennie Fizz!

Sometimes on a wedding day the forecast is rain. And then it doesn’t. And then sometimes there are 1874 bike/marathon/etc. races occurring all over Long Beach Island and you just go with it. How serendipitous that Ashley is also a runner and writes a blog Running Bun! So naturally, we were the jerks who attacked the finish line JUST so we could get a photo of Ashley and Mike there. (Thank you to the runners who allowed us to invade their space). Unexpected things can  happen on a wedding day and the best advice I can give anyone is to just GO WITH IT. Enjoy every last second, even if it isn’t what you expected or hoped. It will go by so fast. Be present.

Ashley and Mike’s wedding day was so ridiculously fun and full of love. I can’t wait to watch their family grow and I couldn’t be more thankful to have met them; I hope they never leave!
