My Humans got Married! 

Lauren and Ben’s industrial chic wedding affair is easily one of my all time favorite wedding days EVER in the history of weddings. I was introduced to these amazing humans by Meg + Brandon. You may remember their hurricane wedding in Avalon a couple years ago. ;) Lauren and Ben’s gorgeous ceremony, (thanks to my ladies at Papertini), was at La Peg overlooking the Ben Franklin Bridge. Seriously one of the coolest venues in Philadelphia!

Their studly puppy Parker was with us at their engagement session in Fishtown and also made a cameo on Lauren and Ben’s wedding invitations! He showed up for a few portraits at Race Street Pier too. I mean, he’s pretty fabulous BUT his humans were stunning us all with Ben’s custom suit and Lauren’s modern fitted gown and blue Manolo’s. That’s right. FIRE, people.

Ben’s reaction to seeing Lauren on their wedding day melted our hearts. I’m also a little obsessed with Lauren, I can’t lie. Did you SEE her? With the Ketubah signed, and light bulb smashed, Ben decided to surprise Lauren with another diamond band right after their ceremony! WHAT?! Who IS this man, am I right??

We danced the night away while these two rocked it on stage with their band. A pizza truck AND a popsicle truck spent the evening feeding us all the deliciousness under a beautifully lit night in Philly. Can’t beat it.

Who doesn’t love a rustic barn wedding?! Christina and Matt’s rainy and foggy wedding day was not what they had envisioned I’m sure but, it made for some beautiful backdrops for their photos! Their rustic Brandywine Manor House wedding was absolutely wonderful- rain and all! Rain on your wedding day leads to a warm and glowy reception with friends and family at Brandywine Manor House.

Christina and Matt came to me through a long line of couples I’ve photographed over the past few years who are all good friends. I love seeing them all again at every couple’s wedding I photograph!

Dance in the Rain

So it rained most of the day and some of our plans went awry as rain tends to do. But man, it didn’t change a thing for the first time they saw each other. Christina has her father’s smile and laugh. Matt, you and Zach were too fun to hang out with on your wedding day! I couldn’t ask for a better couple to spend the day with. I can’t say enough about these images from Lauren and Deric’s wedding day! From the velvet luxury feel of the floral decor to the gorgeous setting at The Ashford Estate. We were living the dream during their Ashford Estate wedding day!

The Perfect Day

This Fall day was just dripping with decadence and rich, vibrant plums and golds and greenery. Lauren’s dad was kind enough to let us use his vintage Rolls Royce for some of their photos. He fixed up the car with his father growing up and it’s been in their family forever. Such a special gift for when Lauren and Deric saw each other for the first time on their wedding day! Part of what I love most about photographing couples on their wedding day is the families stories and heirlooms that will be gifted to their children and grandchildren. Every aspect is a special touch they’ll have forever.

The Ceremony

What a beautiful intimate ceremony in the barn followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing. That warm Fall light was like butter for my eyes *all the heart eye emoji’s* I just can’t get enough! To see more butter for your eyes, click here to see more of my work on my blog!

Carol and Richard’s Colonial Dames wedding this Fall was one for the books! They met online (like Adam and I did! eHarmony WOOT!) They found each other later in life, but it was the perfect time. With grown children and now grandchildren, life is sweeter together! Carol’s daughter and myself both have two little girls and it was so wonderful to see the grandchildren be a part of the wedding day. They stole the show!

Who Says You Can’t Wear Black to a Wedding?

Carol and the wedding party wore black and white and Carol’s fabulous fascinator tied it all together – she looked amazing! Who says you can’t wear black on a wedding day!? Carol and Richard seeing each other for the first time made me want to cry myself! They are just so happy to be with each other.

Their intimate ceremony and reception were held at one of my favorite venues in Philadelphia, The Colonial Dames. It’s a beautiful little secret garden, hidden away from the rest of Rittenhouse Square. You would never know it was there! I had the pleasure of working with Zachary Andrew Events who made it a wonderful experience from beginning to end for myself and Richard and Carol included. All in all a gorgeous day with a wonderful family. I am so lucky to have met them! Please check out more unique and fabulous weddings on my blog!

I photographed Liz and Tony’s cousins wedding several years ago in Brooklyn so Liz reached out to me as soon as her and Tony were engaged! Liz and Tony are just the sweetest, most genuine people ever in creation. They remind me so much of my husband Adam and I. I think that’s why it just felt right. Tony is always happy and positive (so is Adam), and Liz is the cynic (much like myself). They’re a team. Partners in every way you could be for the one you love.

When Liz and Tony saw each other for the first time on their wedding day it was electric! Pure joy overflowing. It’s hard not to get so completely wrapped up in their happiness. I just want to hug them all the time :D

Their cozy winter wedding day at Perona Farms was like Christmas in a cup. The warm flannel touches on their invitations and the glowing light during their ceremony by the barn felt so inviting. Liz and Tony feel like old friends.

Liz is also an AMAZING baker and artist who works for Carlo’s Bakery! She designed their wedding cake with a surprise twist for Tony as he is also a gifted musician/teacher and plays drums for the New York Giants “G-Line” Drumline! Liz designed the back of the cake to drape open to reveal several layers of drums as a surprise for Tony she revealed just before their vows. The entire film crew from Cake Boss worked alongside us that day and Buddy was a guest as well! Can’t wait to see their wedding featured on TLC soon!

What a perfect winter wedding day this was! I couldn’t be happier for them! <3
