Let Them Eat Cake – Philly Style

I was super excited to be able to attend the “Let Them Eat Cake” event on April 2nd at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia! This event is Philadelphia’s Wedding Cake Design competition comprised of professionals and students from around the Philadelphia area. All proceeds from the event went to benefit City of Hope, one of only 40 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers nationwide.

I had a chance to meet with some of THE nicest bakers in the area and I hope to work with them in the future. Shout outs to the lovely Christie at The Master’s Baker for the awesome cake you see below! Also, to Kharis Schneider, who was the creator of my all time favorite funfetti cake from Cescaphe! (He read my mind!)

While I would have loved to show you more images from the event, I was too busy carrying a ginormous box of samples from over 35 cake decorators, I had to make a choice. Cake over photos for once!
